Are Humans A Perfect Species?
"Nature is not interested in creating a perfect being but it's interest is in creating a perfect species"
I have been interested in U.G. Krishnamurti's talks for a long time and this one is very interesting. Religions often teach that there is a "perfect" human such as Jesus or Allah. We are supposed to believe in these ideas and hope to live up to the ideal of being a perfect being.
What if, however, evolution was simply trying to create a perfect species with numerous imperfect beings who live out their lives as the perfect creations they are? What if our overall understanding of life and evolution and religions is all wrong?
What Is The End Product Of Human Evolution?
"Nature does not use anything as a model". If humans as a species are an unparalleled creation then what is culture? Is culture simply a way of maintaining the status quo by value systems? If nature is conscious and that conscious creation is working towards a perfect species then what are WE doing as humans when we create value systems and beliefs?
Culture Vs. Creation
It appears we are looking to create a stable environment for ourselves while nature is busy trying to create completely unique individuals. Where does the push come from to latch onto beliefs, belief structures, and value systems that are simply made up and unknowable?
We are DEFINITELY not perfect species! We cause lots of harm sadly enough, yet it is people like us that do our best to put out content that is needed to wake people up 👁
For that reason, Im following you ! Keep up the posts! 😃
Thank you Dannyroque, you are correct! Evolution isn't finished with us yes, but too bad I won't be around in a million years to find out so I ask questions now
Yes, it's unfortunate that we won't be here for that long, yet, meanwhile we have to make the best of it and become the best critical thinkers that we can be 🙇🏻
Love the Evolution gif 😱😃
Ya there's a lot of critical thinkers here on steemit. Steemit > evolution.
