Demand Your Basic Human Rights

in #life7 years ago

You only have one life that you know of. Stand up for your basic Human rights. Demand them. They are yours by birthright.

Love. We need love. We need to be cherished and held. We each need to feel wanted and important by one other. One who does not have to because of blood relation ;) Love without holding back. Love them for who they are regardless of things you may wish to change or fix. Ironically, after feeling the love freely given them while being themselves, this may motivate them to be the best they can be for you, and change the behavior they instinctively know is not best for you.

We need to feel safe and secure. That is a human right. Humankind formed tribes for a reason. Protection and community. The saying "it takes a village to raise a child" is profoundly true, and I believe the fall of society and lack of basic decency today is in part due to the breakdown of villages and village mentality Now children are raised by one or two parents, sometimes a grandparent, and an ever changing conveyor belt of teachers. No accountability, no sense of place, and no large amounts of sage advice from the varied perspectives of constant carers.

A voice. You have the right to speak up. State your rightful claim to your rights. You were given a voice for a reason. Use it. Do not allow anyone to quiet you.

Freedom. So much negativity is in the air right now. We are surrounded by perceived differences and the hatred that breeds. It's an ever increasing scary world we are living in, but we each deserve freedom. Freedom to speak and not be afraid of repercussion. Freedom to have differing opinions. We each must stand up and be free. The more of us who accept this as our basic Human right, the more will jump on board.

Your basic Human Right is to be you. Without fear of repercussion or points and whispers. Without Ego photobombing your future. Be yourself. You are the best at it anyway :)

Hugs for you <3

And wonderful meeting you :)

I recently read a paradox about "freedoms" in relation to the recent activity all over the world. Something along the lines of fighting for freedom of expression and voice. But if we do that, we will essentially be taking away the freedom of expression and voice of people we don't like because they don't meet our criteria of manner of expression and use of their voice.

I think the "antidote" to this would be everything should be done within reason of common morals and with the intention of spreading kindness and love. Freedoms shouldn't be used to spread hate inspired acts and speech.

Unfortunately, consistancy in human rights does't exist the world over. And that is too bad for some of us who enjoy traveling. We must tread lightly around the world.

This is true. However I feel in general this must be our mantra. I see more and more people growing quiet and rolling over and exposing their bellies, and this cannot be. This is the end of humanity if we allow the general negatives in society to stimulate this behavior. The haters are getting louder and the compassionate are silencing.

I know what you mean.

I have a slightly different take on this based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Humanities basic needs of housing, food, education, and health-care should not be open to unnecessary exploitation and coercion via the capitalist system.
I call these The Four Pillars of humanities basic needs. They could be met by socializing the creation of money and distributing it evenly to all at creation and not as debt. This would be a 'public service utility currency' or something like that.
The education system would be geared towards human potential and mastery.....We would need to overthrow the cynical misanthropic mafia oligarchs of the present fiat system, though, so it will not be easy especially when they are capable of doing what they did on 911 with all the concomitant horrors......
Capitalism would still exist but not within The Four Pillars. It would exist beyond those and geared towards mastery and solving intractable problems.....

I agree completely with these basic Human Rights. In this post, however, I was exploring and reminding of the Human Rights which we sometimes overlook. They are just as important. Without love, for instance, or freedom, the food is bland, the house empty and sad, and the education almost useless.

This is a great post. But the biggest lie of them all is the world could possibly be flat!! Do you think the world is flat? I know this sounds absurd but it's all over net surely it should be looked into. Can you imagine how much money NASA has gone through and they could be full of shit.

You know, I became aware of the flat earth theory a few years ago, and to be completely honest I have not formed an opinion on it. Within my self I feel it is round, back to DaVinci's philosophy (I am Italian after all, lol) and others, regarding Nature- nothing is flat or straight. It all eventually curves into a circle if you keep following the line long enough ;)

But there is no proof of curvature except for NASA. But there is proof using high power cameras sometimes for 40 miles there is no curvature. Ships go into the horizon and disapear what appears to be under the curve. But when you bring out the high power camera and repoint at ship it reappears.

That is so true, @arbitrarykitten! Never actually thought of that!
