Seeking GEMS of wisdom!

in #life6 years ago

How to find new and exciting things to write about… and how authors go about finding them in the most unlikely places.

First you must explore:

Seek for important things other people miss. Facts that will `blew their minds.’

All those exciting  facts

…Could be staring you right in your face!

  • How observant and sensitive are you to what is happening around you?
  • How perceptive and astute are you? Do you look deeply enough into things?
  • Do you stop to use all your six senses to find what you are looking for?
  • When you are emotionally involved, you are more likely to catch the importance of something and remember it.
  • You could have been too busy to take time out and have fun doing research for all those things you have always wanting to know about?

Facts are like sparkling gems:

For example: To paint highlights in art, you have to half-close your eyes to find them. So you will know where to place them in your painting.

You see, highlights show up and sparkle best when placed in dark areas, or next to dark spots and within dark areas.

  • And finding new factual gems is just like that. They also tend to be hidden in unexpected unknown `dark’ places.

Just for fun try half closing your eyes and see if you can spot highlights and where they sparkle.

  • If you have never done this before, it’s best to try it out first on a bright sunny day. For example: if you are in a carpark, the shiny chrome stuff sparkles brightly.
  • For artists, they get used to doing this, and are able to see highlights even on a dull day. Why? Because they look for sparkling highlights where there is contrast, of tones or where there is contrast of colours.

Exciting facts tend to stand out where things contrast.

Reflecting thoughts:

If you have time, also look for sparkling reflections. They bounce off shiny smooth surfaces into darker places. Like the sun shining on water. wet things reflect colour into shadowed areas.

For example, boats in harbour, the reflection of the seawater in seen in the shadowy underside part of the boat’s bulk (stern and bow).

  • This illustrates that new facts are sometimes are found in subtle places. One thought bounces off into another thought and that triggers off more `gems’ thoughts.

How to observe more closely!

As the saying goes: `Finding a needle in a haystack’ isn’t easy!

(But we don’t usually have a haystack in town houses or compartment building in towns. Anyway who would be doing sewing near a haystack? That would be silly!)

Getting back to the point… sharp point… Sorry about the pun, but just couldn’t resist that! And sometimes while searching you find it by getting your fingers `pricked’! ;)

Let’s face it. Finding facts or new ideas, sometimes means doing quite a lot of research before you find anything profoundly exciting.

You have to be real sharp:

  • To find any lost `needle’ fact, you have to compare differences of shapes and textures.
  • And perhaps from another angle. Half closing your eyes is like been a shrewd cop investigator.
  • And if you pull out your torch (enlightenment) you tend to find it shining in dark unknown places

Gem facts are there… sometimes sparkling, `staring’ you right in your face! It all depends on how sensitive you are to scrutinizing concepts more carefully.

This is the real wisdom

Imagination and revelation don't come without effort on our part. Our soul has to be prepared to seek truth!

We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do. MOTHER TERESA.

Yes i am agreed with that we could have to take time that we want to discover.

The inner spiritual side of us needs time to explore, for it hungers for new knowledge. Because there is an inner desire to grow and expand our intellectual opacity.

Our paintings are realy describe our language at paper. It show your worth if thinking. So half-close our eyes to find them. So we will know where to place them in our painting.

Looking for new exciting stuff: is like the game of `hide and seek'! It's a lot of fun if you have the right adventurist attitude.

The skill of observant and sensitivity show about your spirit and confidence. It show how you can react or do in good or bad days. This can help you in you progreds if you are positive.

People are quick to complain about bad days. But if they ignore the negative effects of their day, they would find there is a lot out there to learn from.

Yes i ahve closed my eyes and sparkels good something. Yes you could survive you mind vission and brightness of you heart will take you high in darkness.

Did you really do the half-close eyes exercise? And what did you discover? Did you see the bright sparkles too?

Thank you very much for this....anyway, do you recommend people to take a lot notes?

Yes. I take a lot of notes. They act as reminders for me. I also fall back on them when I want to write something up.

Sometimes we look for something that is very close to us but we can't find it because we don't understand it. Thank you for what you shared @artguru

Yes you are quite right. We have to be at a certain level of understanding, to grasp the importance of a fact and what it can do for us.

Great article.Your are right close your eyes and thinking for your life. You can achieve your dreamz with hardworking.Thinking is more important. You close your eyes thinking your good or bad days. And observed it.You close your eyes and thinking with your heart.Heart gives you good descion.Really valuable post. Thanks for sharing.dear@Artguru.

When you `half-close' your eyes you block out the not so important things. This helps you focus on picking out the gems of knowledge.

Writers and artists like painter etc can put their minds onto a piece of paper or a screen as of today's advancements in technology! And I believe every writer, sculpture etc needs a keen idea and basis to write or draw their work. Exploring of positive world is a very fantastic opportunity and if you being positive show your work to others they might get affected and move towards positive side of life.
And I do believe that if one close eyes he/she will see the spark of imagination in their subconscious mind.
So I think it's different according to different persons.
Great work ma'am

Yes, the more you practice using your subconscious mind, the more effective you are in sparking off and receiving WOW-moments of knowledge.

Yes! Practice makes everyone perfect, but ma'am what do you suggest is the best practice for directing the subconscious mind into a positive side?
I really want to know and work myself on it.

I have been writing about that previously, from different angles, but @tjannat1997 has just complained, and wants me to move on. "We want to see new topic ."
So you are welcome to go back on my previous posts @artguru

Okay thank you so much ma'am! @artguru
