The 10 Minute Delivery System

The 10-Minute Delivery System which rose to its attention attaining peak about a year ago has now slowly died down to almost irrelevancy and the reason behind that is pretty simple. It was just not viable for anybody to offer 10 Minute Deliveries whether it was Groceries, Food, or any other item so yeah I was definitely not interested in having 10-minute delivery as the norm. I fully agree that in the future that could become the norm but as of right now 10 Minute Deliveries are just a Disaster.

The reason behind the failure of this policy was that there was absolutely no way this would have worked and there are two reasons why I am saying this.
Firstly it's a Logistical Nightmare to pick up one thing from point A and deliver it to point B within 10 minutes add in the Traffic in between and 10-minute delivery is close to impossible.
Secondly, it is the fact that the Ticket size of each delivery is not big enough for the Logistical department to make a healthy profit from it and thus keep the 10 MInute Delivery Service Alive.

Yes, I do get that most delivery companies follow the Micro Warehouse strategy where with the help of Advanced Predictive Algorithms they pre-stock items that may need to be delivered at a point at a certain time. I agree that this is definitely a nice strategy but it only works when you have a huge set of Data which currently they don't and that leads to either Delivery Boys driving rashly just to meet the 10-minute deadline or to get bad products.

Now I will also say that there are some areas where this service works pretty well but I will say this again and again

Who needs their stuff in under 10 Minutes?

I could understand if it was Medicines or some other essential stuff but Groceries are not something that needs to be delivered within 10 minutes so I would really like to get my Groceries delivered on time and possibly fresh ones as well. So for the time being I really like my deliveries to be fresh and not as early as 10 minutes.
