Look at this Charmander.

If its light goes out, it dies.

You may feel like the light is almost out, but look at him. He's holding a leaf over it and holding on.

I watched the show, I know he turns out okay.

We're gonna be okay too Our lights aren't out yet even if they sometimes seem

This early episode was one of the most depressing. The pokemon show sure did touch the topics of death and abandonment a lot in for a children's show.
