Wow! Your response is quite interesing, @bearbear613. I would have thought that the oppsite would be the case- the wife would be the insecure spouse.
Well one it could be the worst case scenario:
Insecurity #1: She cheated and you think its not yours
Insecurity #2: You want a legacy of your GENOME to go one and one way is for children to look like you
Insecurity#3: You are just mental because you don't appreciate a healthy baby/child
