Another unsuccessful life coach spotted!

So the other day when I wrote about a girl I went to high school with that was not a successful person in life I started digging a bit out of morbid curiosity and discovered that I have two more people that I know that became life coaches when I feel as though they are not really what I would consider a great success in their lives. I wouldn't look to them for advice and feel as though the only people that would are people who are easily duped and do not know the history of the person they are talking to.

I didn't have to dig very far in order to discover another person that I know that is wildly unsuccessful that is offering "life coaching" services for a fee.

Once again I am not giving out real names here because while what I think they are doing is retarded, I don't want to harm them.

The above image was one of the ones from a post from the next girl that I found that is now a middle-aged life coach. I guess it's tough to argue with that but I have known this girl for 30 years and she has never done this. Perhaps she is doing it now.

I'll just call her Kirsty

Kirsty was one of those girls who was a free spirit and I am not going to fault anyone for that. After high school Kirsty disappeared for a while to go backpacking around the world and then she just didn't come back because she met some Brazilian guy in her travels and then she, I guess hung out with him for a long time, then got pregnant by him, then left by him. A tragic story indeed but I am happy to say that the kid, even though growing up without a father is a horrible thing, has turned out pretty good and I am happy for her for that.

Kirsty jumped from job to job doing things I would kind of consider to be playtime jobs such as being a kayaking guide at a national park, a dive guide, some other sort of nature something or other and as life went on she became a yoga instructor. I am sure a bunch of you out there also know yoga instructors because that is a job kind of like life coaching where there isn't any real certification for it. You just say you are a yoga instructor and now you are one.

Kirsty ended up marrying a very wealthy man and honestly, and as mean as this sounds, that is the real life coaching that she can recommend and be correct about. Find someone really wealthy and marry them and you will not have to worry about money. Job done!

Kirsty has never had a real job that I am aware of and her ticket to success has been that she found a rich guy to look after her and pay for everything. I met him, he is a nice guy and comes from generational wealth and well, good for him. I have no problem with nepotism and use it myself any chance that I get.

Kirsty has a positive attitude and good for her. I'm happy for her, but I don't think that this is the kind of person that can or should be giving life advice. Phase one seems to be marry rich and the rest of your goals will just kind of fall into place. In her social media posts Kirsty doesn't really mention that this was the really big step in her keys to success in life.

These days it seems like almost everyone is pursuing some sort of internet fame and in the case of Kirsty I think that her motivation to be a life coach is one spawned out of pure boredom. She married well and doesn't really have to ever work so she is free to pursue whatever she wants in her free time, which is basically all of her time. I think that homemakers are pretty rare these days and Kirsty is one of them.

In the industry that I work in people frequently assign themselves the title of "consultant" and I would say more often than not these guys don't know what the hell they are talking about and I don't understand how they find work, it must be a tax write off or something.

I wish Kirsty the best of course but I wouldn't take advice from her even if it was free.

When I look online there are a huge amount of life coaches out there and I don't recall this being a thing before the internet existed. I suppose people like Kirsty are just products of the environment that we live in now. When I see things like this I am very happy that I work in a field that is unlikely to ever be digitized: construction.
