Are we living in The Matrix? 🤔

I've been thinking a lot about the meaning of life recently and I'm interested to know the thoughts of the mighty Steemit Community.

More and more I'm reading into the theory we may be living in a simulation/matrix, has anyone else looked at this in any depth?
Elon Musk (SpaceX) is currently pulling together a team of the most talented individuals to try and figure if in fact we are living in some kind of matrix.
Not only this but James Gates, a highly respected theoretical physicist from the University of Maryland, has converted the string theory equations into images which are mind blowing to look at.

Furthermore, when he delved deeper into these images, it seemed that the actual fabric of the universe appeared to be constructed out of computer code... This was not just any computer code but a specific kind of computer code designed by another physicist in the 1940's.

At this point my brain pretty much imploded, but from my (very) limited understanding - it does seem like it's a credible theory and something worth exploring.

Now, IF we are living in a simulation/matrix and we're just a high functioning Sims game, what would you like to know first? I'll start:

What year is it really?!

Or if you have an alternative theory, comment them below. There are no stupid answers/theories - I don't know nearly enough to judge anyone! 💭🙏🏻😂

This world is not a simulation as it's much more older than 1940. It's 2017 because majority of people follow this logic. Everything is logic and logic is not confined to just 1 or two aspects of the world. A lot of things can be implemented on same logic. Also same things can be accomplished with different logic. World is not aggregate of the knowledge what we know, it's not stagnant it's all dynamic but we humans can only understand world when we take it slow and analyze stagnant data.

No my friend as interesting as it might sound but world is not matrix, we are not computers. If we forgot who we are (humans) we might lose it all.

Okaaay @kissofearth... I didn't say it was a simulation, I said it was interesting theory.
Great comment, though maybe being quite so facetious wasn't necessary.
IF we were in a simulation, what would you ask first?
For what it's worth, personally I think we are just infinite consciousness moving from vehicle to vehicle.

I don't think I wanted to offend you personally. I was just stating my thoughts after reading your article. No mockery was involved.

Oh well then - my bad dude! Thanks for taking the time to comment back 😊

@beepandmarco - Living in a matrix Well, thats a very interesting and facinating concept. I appreciate your afforts for providing useful information.

P.S. Thanks for following me @cryptoqu33n. Please upvote, follow and resteem my post. This will encourage to provide quality content in future.

well, from the little i know of the multiverse and string theories, pretty much anything our mini minds could imagine could be true, in the relative-dimensional sense

"it's possible" - A very fitting video/talk for this topic

I guess we don't know yet!

nice to meet You, Nic here from Amterdam @nicnicy
If You look at all the "stuff" around us in nature in a mathematical way You find the same number patterns repeated over and over in perfect steps predicting what the next number will be in the sequence. music notes, radio and light waves colors, build of leaves of a flower, fibonacci numbers, the 3-6-9 numbers of Tesla - yes we all vibrate in an atomic grid and conscious attention gives intention to what expands - we do not live in a matrix we are a matrix - but is this practical daily knowledge when is asked to pay the rent ? no that is why it feels eery fairy
