I wouldn't risk it meeting anyone I didn't know previously from Steemit, reddit, imgur, or prettymuch any site aside from a dating site. Lots of crazies out there.
They are in the minority though, but unfortunately, crazies get a lot of media attention so I hope it is less worse than the media portrays.
