On The Run
I don't feel like I am the same person as I was last week. I have experienced somewhat of a paradigm shift triggered by an emotionally painful event and a decision to use this pain as a motivator to evaluate my life.
I feel different, excited and full of a new hope. The pain has not gone but it has not been shoved aside either.
The reason for this post is to encourage those that are in the throws of sorrow and hurt, that there is hope. There is hope because while you can not control all of your circumstances or be responsible for every event that occurs in your life, you do have a choice as to how you deal with it.
Events do not define us, our actions in response to these events are what defines us.
This is the beauty - you have personal choice. We can complain or we can create and you get to decide which of these you will put your time and energy towards.
For those wondering where this magical place is in the photographs - this is Cabarita Beach Headland and Lennox Head. An idyllic pocket of sunshine, waves and sand on the north coast of New South Wales (Australia). There is nothing quite like the soothing beauty of the ocean to help wash away negativity and help bring a new perspective to your life. Nature is a beautiful blessing.
Can you see the dolphins in the picture below?
Until next time,
xx Isabella
I can see those dolphins! Good luck in whatever direction you choose to take this next part of your journey.
Thank you @opheliafu. Change is on the horizon and you can sure bet I will be sharing my journey here too :) There was actually about 10 dolphins that cruised by that morning but no whales. That look out is a popular whale watching vantage point.
Very nice place and a great advice for the steemians, God Bless @bridgetbunchy
I appreciate your kind words @bien. Thank you.
Your welcome @bridgetbunchy

This place looks beautiful and it has a stunning few! I love what you said, "Events do not define us, our actions in response to these events are what defines us." Thanks for sharing this with us :)
Thank you @theywillkillyou - Cabarita Beach Headland has been a favourite escape point for the past 15 years. The blue colours of the ocean is exquisite.
