You might not be chosen even though you at the best
So far, my experience on steemit has been cool and I have been able to learn a lot from it.
There was something I learnt yesterday from one of the steemit groups which I belong to and I would like to share it on my blog.
There was a competition which featured ten winners. The first three got $100 while the others got the consolation prize of 2Sbd each.
It should be noted that prior to the time the winners were announced, a lot of people participated in it and the competition was quite tough.
After the winners were announced in a post, a fellow steemian complained bitterly that he was supposed to be the winner as a lot of people commented on his post and said his post was the best and he would definitely be the winner.
Unfortunately, he was not among the first ten.
It should be noted that according to the rules, the basis on which the winners were chosen was based on how original, creative and funny their post was, and after his comment, I went to check his post, and it was indeed the best out of all the ones I read.
But then, such is life. A lot of people are called, but a few are chosen and it does not matter how good you are because everything is relative.
The fact that most people thought his post was the best did not mean the person who introduced the contest saw it as that too.
So it would be better to keep being ourselves because not being chosen has a reason... So giving up is not the right answer because the fact that you were not chosen now just means it is not yet your time.
When the right time for you to be chosen comes up, no one would take your position. Just keep trying to get better.
I want to use a biblical allusion to buttress this point, and it can be found in the book of Ecclessiastes 9 vs 11 (KJV).
It says, "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all"
Hmm... That Bible verse said it all. What do you think?

Absolutely, this is well said
Thanks dear
