Do I start with what you shouldn't eat?
Do I start with What you should eat?
Do I write about the benefits of eating non processed food?
Do I write about this diet or that diet?
Do I write about the new trend everyone "healthy" is doing?

Ahhhh bugger that I will just write and see where my ramblings take us.

So as my dear followers know I went down to Antarctic where I had a massive change in my lifestyle. One of the biggest change was what I eat. I learnt a lot from some very inspiring people down there. Two of the people i learnt from were work mates. One of whom lost a whooping 20KGs !!!!!! while down there. He practiced keto and intimating fasting. The other who is a very good friend taught me about how what you eat affects your life from your motivation to your weight.

While down there I went 6 weeks avoiding sugar as best as I could. This meant no juice no tomato sauce. The only sugar I ate was from fresh fruit or from what the cooked for dinner. eg the sauce on the meat. Within 6 six weeks the fat just striped off me. I am not bragging but I now have abs that are visible. Some may think well you must of gone to the gym as well. OF COURSE I DID!!! hahaha.

While down in Antarctica I told my wife @nightowl about what I was achieving down there and she couldn't wait for me to get home. 1. because she missed me and 2. because of our life change that we were going to go through together.

First on the hit list when i got home was a documentary on sugar. Check out That Sugar Movie on youtube. It is a documentary on how sugar is the devil. It is worse than cocaine. Challenge me on this please.

When will my ramblings stop?

So basically to put it black and white my family no longer purposely eat sugar. That means no juice, no bbq sauce, no cakes, no cheap and shit chocolate.
Some of you may think this is hard....but honestly nothing is hard if you want to do it.

Some tips

  1. Pre pack lunch. It makes roaming through town easier,
  2. Eat before you go out,
  3. Dont eat while you are in town. Humans can go 30 days without food. Dont think that rumbling in your stomach is an excuse to have a donut.
  4. No that sugar is the devil

Lunch?

What do you feed your kids for lunch? Chips, yoghurt, fruit, muesli bar and a sandwich? Yup i fed my boy this to thinking it was a healthy lunch. Guess what? Fruit yoghurt.....sugar, Muesli bar....sugar, white bread....sugar, chips.....just not good hahaha
We now feed our boy left overs from last nights dinner. We checked with the school to see if they could heat it up in their microwave. They said yes of course.
