RE: Is a little dose of Nihilism healthy?

Interesting choice of topic @chekohler

try to practice a little bit of existentialism.

How do you do that?

I just think certain things you feel may be a big deal to you may not be if you just take a step back and look at through a different scope and I think nihilism can really help in that sense.

Absolutely. Sometimes we all need to step back. PErhaps even few steps. And get some different perspective. See things from the distance. It does help quite often.

I think the world of instant gratification has ruined the way we communicate and no one really takes the time to think and evaluate on the things they say or do, it's just blurted out on a whim.

Wouldn't you perhaps agree that Steemit is very unique place for that particular reason? It's first social media out there where people do have some longer attention span. And that's a game-changer.

Interesting read :)

I practice existentialism by not focusing on what to think but how to think and then explore how other people may see this process of thinking and how it can be different and why they come to the conclusions they do

I agree steemit has been able to foster a different kind of narrative between users where the quality of the engagement is more valued than the level of engagement.
