The dry and hot days had begun here in my tropical country and I like it
It is already past one o'clock at the time of this writing and I am planning already to take a bath already and I don't mind if I would get some shower earlier because of course after going out from the bathroom I might drizzle myself over with sweat which again I do not mind because I like the way perspiring does to my body, it just decreases all that salt and hopefully some other bad toxins from my blood. Anyway, it said in the news that the dry season is intensified this coming months and a reason for the Dams to cut electricity if the levels of water would decrease. However when news like that happens the rain would come to the rescue and fill those dams again to stabilize the power because here in my country we are reliant on Hydro-power while some other private power source uses coal and diesel to contribute to the power grid. That is why the electricity cost here in my country is very high and hopefully in the future it will not be as high because the current government is somewhat planning to revive the stalled nuclear power plant which was made a "White Elephant" by the former late lady president which is still being paid by the Philippines to the corporation which was picked to develop it not to mention the cost of maintenance cost which is a big sum paid by the people through tax money.
Now I will be seeing many people in Facebook posting their vacation escapades to beaches before and after the "Holy Week" celebration of the Catholics this week which starts tomorrow. During the holy week, like particularly on Thursday and Friday. nobody will sell foods which I think I have to prepare myself for the reason that it is my dialysis schedule at Friday and I do not want to order foods before Thursday just to be had on Friday, so it is indeed a sacrifice for me and my mother might just prepare simple meals especially after my dialysis which is a moment where I have the best appetite for enjoying foods and not on other days in between. But what I would enjoy the most really was my fluid consumption during these hot months of the year although it will just last for long until the wet and dry season would cut it short. But again it will be hotter and drier this year which means that maybe there will not be as much rains to expect for the reason that I am witnessing that the weather here in y country had changed dramatically ever since I was younger which I would blame it for climate change.
Regardless of the hot weather, the nights will at some point will stay cooler but we just have to use some form of cooling the rooms while sleeping because otherwise we will still drizzle in sweat. Using an electric fan and even those smaller appliances like the mini-fan where it draws a little power from a battery charger is enough, well for me at least to make me more comfortable while sleeping at night all because the heat of the day would subside as the night falls deeper until the sun shows up again in the early morning. I am living in the flat lands and it will be a different case to those which lives in higher altitudes like on the mountains and also in the valleys where the heat is much worse because it is being trapped by the surrounding mountains on both sides. Again I must say that I like these hotter months because at least the weather is favoring my needs, the sunlight is giving people a lot of cheery disposition, the opposite of the effect of grey skies, plus I do not have to fear that our house would get flooded inside which always happens during the typhoon and monsoon season. That is why that I hope that this year God wills it for me to replace our old house with leaky roof with a newer one which my mother really wants to happen because this house where we live is already due for being replaced because of its age.
