Traditional Food in Atacama

I wanted to write a post about the excellent traditional food from the Atacama region and the methods of cooking that the local indigenous atacameños use in San Pedro de Atacama.

Whilst looking around the village I have seen many traditional adobe style ovens that look like pizza ovens. These ovens are used to cook pretty much everything, from meat to bread, and everything in between.
