Blessed is the Man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord is. Jer 17:7

To be blessed means to be empowered to prosper; that you're blessed means there's an empowerment on you for prosperity, excellence, victory and productivity in every area of your life. Gods plan for all us is for us to prosper.

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Now many Christians don't walk in this light because they are ignorant of this knowledge. Oftentimes, Christians use certain words, not knowing exactly what they mean. For example, to some people, "God bless you" is a nice church greeting and most people say it as being cordial and as a courtesy, but it's something really powerful if you understand what it means. Like I earlier said to be blessed means there is an empowerment on you for fruitfulness and productivity.
Now because you are blessed, it's impossible for you to be defeated or disadvantaged; you're protected and preserved of the lord.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. Psalm 112:1-3

This doesn't imply that challenges would not come, but irrespective of the challenges or oppositions, you will always come out on top and ahead and you'll win; where others are failing and having difficulty you always win. This is your life as a Christian.

You have been empowered to prosper in all things and deal wisely in the affairs of life. Even if you were placed in the desert or barren land, you'll still prosper.

Live everyday with this Consciousness.

Sort:

No, we're not empowered to prosper. God doesn't promise us health, wealth, power, prosperity, respect or influence.

On the contrary, Timothy was often sick. Paul had bad eyesight. At times he was hungry and he had no food.

(1 Timothy 5:23 NIV) Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.

(Galatians 6:11 NIV) See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

(2 Corinthians 11:23-28 NIV) Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. {24} Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. {25} Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, {26} I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers. {27} I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. {28} Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches.

Well I believe you need to study the scriptures, because God has blessed you and made you a blessing Gen 12:2. Just study Psalm 112. And also Isaiah 60. All the scriptures you raised, I don't see how they mean that God doesn't want us prosperous. Timothy suffered from stomach ache and Paul became ill doesn't mean God wanted them to suffer that. I pray the holyspirit gives you a clear understanding of this and you know your prosperity in Christ.
