Incase you didn't see my other comment above, images are stored on Steemit’s webite- not on the Blockchain! Photographers can request their images be removed via a DMCA notice to Steemit inc. A bit more research shows the images are stired on Clou Servers. Same difference though. They are not on the Blockchain!
thank you for pointing that out , i'm personally aware of that , but 80% of the violaters have no clue .
For most people it's "o i found it on the internet so it must be for free " , i can imagine if you have to make a living from photography it can be hard, for me it's just a hobby .
Many long-time Steemit users are well aware of what they are doing. They provide a link and know that they can't be accused of plagiarism. I have had many discussions with some claiming that it's their right to take my work and the work of others because it is only pixels! Many of those who just don't know, are upright people who will stop when it is pointed out to them that they are infringing on copyright!
