Married Without a Ring

I wake up every night and wonder why am into this kind of marriage but this night is different cos I have just been bullied by the same man that claimed that he loves me , who do I talk to , who cares to hear. Every time I want to quit I look at my 3 beautiful daughters and my son, I see great nations in them and my heart will just start bleeding.

I even had to beg his mom for a space in his father’s compound so that I can grow some crops for food because I cannot get everything from the market and I also sell Garri in the market just to make ends. I am already the bread winner the family. I wish I shouldn’t say this but I just have to.

The man I am staying with is a drunk, funny enough, he does nothing for a living, he beats me up every day so that he can get the money I make from my Garri business and if I don’t give him , that means hell will be broken lose on me , he will beat me and my big fat belly.

I wish I can turn back the hands of time so that I could correct my wrongs, but life doesn’t have such an option, In my next life , I would rather remain single than marry this kind of man.
