Time heals all wounds, really, does it?

I am broken but i'm hoping.
I am crying. A part of me is dying.
These are...these are the confessions of a broken heart - Steven Aitchison.

It has been said that time heals all wounds, ' i do not agree'. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissues and the pain lessens, but the pain never goes.
I often hear of people giving bereaved people advice similar to “you just need some time, after all ‘time heals all wounds.’” It is as if these people are saying: “Just sit back and in time you’ll no longer have the sadness, anguish, guilt, anger, and fear you’re feeling now. They’ll fade away, and you’ll be fine.”
Wow! What an interesting concept!
The point here, though, is that time does NOT heal all wounds. A more suitable saying ishould be “IT’S WHAT YOU DO WITH THE TIME THAT HEALS.” images (2).jpeg
Like any other aspect of life, mourning is an active, working process, not a passive one.
I reached out to ask one or two people about their views and here is a reply from a friend of mine" Ramona"- No. It might heal physical wounds. But the emotional wounds can take long to heal and you need to do something for them to heal - change your mind and not let things get you down that happened long time ago. When loosing a loved one - that hole will NEVER heal. But it gets better and you start to learn how to live with the hole. Like when going to a wound specialist or simply a doctor to help you heal physical wounds with the right dressing and in the end you are left with a scar - people sometimes need to reach out for help to heal their emotional wounds. images (1).jpeg
