Oh my God...REALLY? Man, you may have just saved my life. I've been stressing over this problem. Badly. THANK YOU for the info.
I have a prescription for the 800 mg version of it in the States. But I typically just take four of the OTC ones. I'll have to figure out how to get all my prescriptions transferred at some point anyway, so the problem may resolve itself regardless.
They don't sell drugs in supermarkets here, everything in pharmacies.

So I discovered. I asked Michel what people do for headaches, and he has apparently never had a headache, because he didn't know. LOLOL!

Oh my God I'm rolling off the chair laughing. He's French, but he's this irritatingly healthy and fit rascal who's probably never been sick a day in his life. I hope a little bit of that rubs off on me.
