@grumpycat is flaging fresh posts of innocent people.
Who am I ?
- I am nobody, like any minnow on Steemit.
- No other account, just @firedream
- I have never been a victim of @grumpycat but seeing innocent people hurt is enough motivation for me to resist.
- I hate bullies. I thought that @grumpycat is trying to do something good but I realized that he is just another bully that imposes his terms on people using his 500k SP.
- I am someone that knows Steemit is bigger than any @grumpycat.
What is done so far :
I have build a simple tool for @grumpycat. This way he would be able to see which posts are older than 3,5 days.

How to stop @grumpycat
- Cats can never be tamed but they can be kept away.
- @grumpycat 's cash method is, with his high SP he is upvoting his comments ( he doesn't have too much posts ).
- I will give an link to all the @grumpycats upvoted comments at this posts comments section.
- I will flag all his upvoted comments with the below reply :
- I will request help from anybody who belives me and who is brave enough to fight back.
- I will try to contact all the bot owners and whales and try to find help.
@grumpycat, I will resist. You can flag me, stop my voice but I am not afraid. You have more to lose than me.

Apart form you, they are the one's making profits while also financially supporting spammers.
These spammers will be harder to detect and counter after they've been allowed to build up a warchest.
Because we have lives and manually reviewing takes to much time. Several people have told you that we are working on a blacklist that can be shared between owners. This blacklist is the best option for the abuse because it allows several of us to build it as we go. There is far to much abusive content, including your own, to possibly flag it all. However, as the blacklist builds it will simply work.
Hi @grumpycat, I could write a script for you that automatically flags posts that use paid upvotes after 4 days. That would eliminate the collateral damage and save you some work. Or is the process already automated?

I am manually reviewing your posts and writing them here.
The webpage is working much better with the contribution of @maxarias.
Just with a click you can reach all the posts for any bot that are older than 3,5 days and flag them...This would be a fair fight and I would support.
What I want to stop is, flagging of innocent people with fresh posts.
I have requested this,as a minnow, from you.
But instead, you continue flagging fresh posts.
You call them colleteral damages...This is not a game, they are real people losing real money.
What option than to resist do you leave to me ?

According to my contact with whales, I see that I will not have much help since they are all expecting Steemit to be a free platform and self regulate...

My flags that aren't done in the last 12hrs (yet), so if you can't find anyone to counter my flags on these "promoted" posts maybe that should give you an idea of which ideology has the most support.
Maybe you haven't noticed that I've been flagging first offender reasonably, something like 10-20% of their post value.
Vote buyers like everyone should never expect to not get their post flagged and assume the money is their until it's paid out.
I changed my notification comment to include : "By sending money to @sneaky-ninja you are also financially supporting spammer."
You're defending @sneaky-ninja bot, delegators like @honeybeee and the few forever clueless customers still financing the spamming operations.
@grumpycat I will get you the script if you will use it, what language do you want it in? Why do you have to fuck over minnows and destroy steem users across the globe rather than meaningfully advance your claimed goal? Is it because your claimed goal is not your actual goal?

This is where i feel frustrated, you stop for one week then start hitting innocent posts.
My position have never changed since the start. I support your fight to stop abusers and milkers but I resist to the end to your method of flagging innocent people.
I believe you are also a self regulation of steemit but how can someone close his eyes on the net present damage you done ?

I have contacted the author and she is someone with a big heart.
She is a content creator just trying to get her voice heard out of crowd by upvoting her fresh post.
Most probably, she has just chosen sneaky-ninja for the best ROI at that time.
These are the people you are hurting.
For the same day, sneaky-ninja bot upvoted 16 posts past 6 days.
You can stop this fight by just one sentence :
"I will only hit posts more than 3,5 days old."

I really try to understand your motivation...you have close to 500k SP, huge investment.

I too am a single account holder. As you know, I have been targeted by gimp-cat specifically, he hit 3 posts in a row yesterday. I just wanted to say thank you for your efforts at resisting this blatant bully. It is much appreciated.

I couldn't really agree more, my friend! "Hurt the customer to damage the business" is one of the most barbaric forms of abuse I have ever seen. This crusade that grumpycat has taken himself on would be a different story if he put ANY EFFORT into looking at a post and an account before he flagged them. But he isn't, he is just blindly flagging people for using THE SAME BOTS THAT HE USES!!! This tells me that he wants to be the only person allowed to use these bots, so he can pay next to nothing on his bids, get huge upvotes for pennies on the dollar, and no one will bid against him, because he will just bully them with his half million SP. "Only I can buy votes from this bot, or I will spank you". The greed is clearly evident. There is no "trying to help the platform". It is a guise to distract people from the fact that he is selfvoting, bullying, and manipulating the rewards pool in a way that no one benefits except for grumpycat and his wallet....

What do you think? If we had more large SP holders, if they only upvoted, they could disincentivize spam, by redistributing the reward pool more fairly, and further, they could upvote unfairly flagged content.
