Traveling Through The Siq On Our Way To Petra Was By Donkey Carts

Traveling the Siq in the Donkey Carts was very efficient. Part of our team walked in, which took about 1 hour. Many of us chose to accept the donkey carts as our way of travel. The Siq is so narrow, that in places you can reach out and touch both sides as you and your four-legged friend make your way through this narrow opening in the Rock. 

Traveling The Wadi Rum Desert On Old Trucks

Re-boarding our truck was interesting after stopping to walk in the path of Lawrence Of Arabia. Here we did some desert walking and climbing of rocks. How Lawrence loved this desert and it's people. It is easy to see why. 

When climbing Petra We Used Camels

We did a lot of climbing and walking, but as we each tired, we began to use camels to finish the steep climb and to return to the entrance of the Siq. The Siq is the only way in or out of Petra.

While you travel throughout the Middle East, be sure to try all kinds of way of travel. The country of Jordan is amazing and the people are kind and friendly. It is a marvelous country to explore and a wonderful adventure.
