What is Reiki?
Much is said about Reiki, although little is known about it. In short, it is the energy that moves through the body and that is transferred from one person to another. During the treatment the practitioner supports the movement of this energy within the recipient's body, without the need to manipulate it.
It emerged as a spiritual practice in Japan, at the beginning of the 20th century, and began to spread among monk practitioners of martial arts and naval officers. It was striking the different group of people who took Reiki sessions. What was attractive about that practice? Well, surely part of its success is based on its simplicity and even the easy way in which it is learned.
The person lies on a stretcher, closes his eyes and, without taking off his clothes, relaxes in an active way. Unlike classic relaxation systems, where the person becomes heavy or even falls asleep, in this case a fully attentive relaxation occurs. At no time the individual loses the notion of reality. This is very useful, since it allows the subjects to remain calm, even in the midst of the noise and daily chaos.
The therapist's hands go through the body without touching it, in previously determined positions, with the just continuity in time and the softness of this Japanese relaxation system. The minutes pass and, depending on the needs of each one, the therapist will place their hands at the height of different organs so that each one of them relaxes.
Reiki is based on the transfer of a vital force generated by the Sun and received by the human body, which is capable of channeling and transmitting it, through a short training. In it, each person is instructed to become a channel of that energy and thus not lose their own or be charged with negativities of others.
The session continues on the back, reaches the feet and, at the end, a deep sense of peace invades the entire body. The subject remained within the same reality, but now he is more aware of everything that accelerates him on a daily basis. The person learns to leave that place, not because of the therapist's indication, since the session is silent, but because he regains his center again.
In a simple way, Reiki makes people recover and take control of the life that they believed was complicated and difficult.

Thanks for the post!
Ive had a Reiki session a couple of times. Each practitioner gave me different results. I honestly wouldnt let everybody give me Reiki sessions these days, but rather only individuals that make the "right" impression on me.
Interesting fact though, that Reiki uses the energy of the sun. I wasnt aware of that. Is it taught like that everywhere?
