Lets you do work around your Bug In/Home location with your hands free. Make sure it has a moonlight mode, a turbo mode that can be quickly gotten to from any level and an S.O.S. mode. The TH10 from Thrunite ticks all these boxes, the runtime on moonlight is 3 months + and it's built like a tank. In an event such as flooding and you need to get on top of your roof you can get attention by using the S.O.S. mode on the torch, it will be seen in day and night.

TAIL STANDING FLASHLIGHTS

I have the Fenix E05, the Thrunite Ti3 and a Loftek Torch that also doubles as a battery bank. The E05 with lanyard attached isn't as good a tail stander as the Ti3 but it does tail stand. Like with a headlamp ensure it has a moonlight mode and other brightness levels. The E05 is just one level of illumination so the Ti3 is the most versatile. The Ti3 also has a 'hidden' strobe function. The advantages to using tail standing flashlights are obvious. In moonlight mode they give great light discipline, last for hours on a single cell and unlike candles do not add an extra risk when in use. You could get a few and place them at intervals throughout your location so you have a good even light throughout in case you are sheltering others who are not familiar with your homes layout.

Other good tail standing lights and some future acquisitions I want to get myself are the Thrunite TN04. Excellent torch and uses AA batteries.

Make sure also whatever flashlight you get for bugging in that it is waterproof and that it uses AA or AAA batteries. These types of batteries are going to be in large enough quantity and in circulation for some time during and after an emergency. More exotic batteries will be harder to find and it will take up more resources and time looking for them, acquiring them and their condition will not be optimal.
