The high price of diamonds is just a business trick
The diamonds that we consider so expensive are only ordinary rocks. More recently, diamond mining has been an easy process, unlike before. This has contributed to a significant reduction in its price.
The reason for its high prices is that De Beers company has long dominated the industry and managed to artificially raise diamond prices during its takeover.
The advertising campaigns also helped to portray diamonds as a rare gem, though it was the opposite!
Just for curiousity's sake, what is the new process to mine and refine diamonds?
