RE: Getting braked and charged like a boss
This all sounds, AWESOME, @galenkp. I remember you talking about selling the truck and I thought then, yeah...but... and here you are, making the modifications to the landcruiser. However, all I can say is, that's fun in and of itself, in my mind, bending an existing vehicle to your will.
I keep seeing trucks around, and I keep saying I need a truck, but you know, money, and so I don't have one yet. One of these days. I don't have an Australian outback to peruse, but it sure would be nice for hauling dirt to the garden or the backyard, hauling fencing because it's time to replace that again, or hauling larger items to the second hand store or from Costco.
One of these days.
I hope it all goes smoothly and you can get your camping on. :)
It's always a money thing I guess, for me also Glen. I've been saving like mad and have gone without a few things to get these initial items fitted as I didn't want to take away from our genuine savings and other commitments. Makes it all the more sweeter I thing, knowing I've exerted effort to gain these things.
I miss my truck a lot but am happy with my Landcruiser; They really are a beast if a vehicle and a pleasure to own. It's a big unit and hard to park but I really love owning it.
I'd like a Dodge Ram someday but I think I won't ever get one. Just not that practical here...Maybe if I lived in a smaller town where car parking wasn't an issue. Big trucks like that aren't that popular here. We tend to prefer smaller ones like the Ranger, Hilux, Navara, Triton etc. I'll definitely have one again but for now it's the LC200.
