The Best Way I Wake Up

I don't like alarms or racing into the day to wake me up. I know that how I feel in the morning affects the rest of my day, so I try to be nice to them.
It starts with Fajr. I feel like that calm period before the world wakes up is special. Praying at morning helps me get my mind and spirit back on track.
During those times, I feel at peace in a way that I can't find at any other time of day. Then I go outside to take a walk. I don't walk to keep track of how many steps I take or to burn calories.
I walk to feel like I'm part of something. The cool air, the lovely light, and the quiet around me make me feel at peace. It's how I stay grounded when life starts to pull me in other directions.
Most of the time, the birds steal the show. It sounds like they're having their own morning talks when they talk. I often stop to listen.
After that, I go back to a cup of hot tea. It feels good to hold it in my hands, like a soft cuddle. The Chai warms me up inside and out.
I really cherish these calm mornings now.
