Most Amazing Trip Right Now!!!

in #life6 years ago

I was able to get back to my kid self this week and grow up a good leap. It was all these music concerts I went to. Some of the eventful experience was somewhat personal so cannot speak on everything. At the same time it's all that's on my mind right now. Right now I am in a smokey land in Alberta. The fires are brutal harsh in the next province. The musicians I've seen this last week have been effected by that. At the same time it felt really neat to share this apocalyptic-like weather with these people lately. First was an all ages variety show camping experience that is also a benefit festival for families who have children with cancer. The headliners were The Outlaws (Pac's group) who travelled all the way down here 'cause they were moved by the cause.

So I've been flashing back to the group home when I was 11. It's when I got into some music. My mom has mental illness, then I got taken away by constumed strangers and put in the home for half a year. I was into Kris Kross then...that's what helped me get into 2pac later in life. Also heard R.E.M. Losing My Religion on LG73 in Vancouver, the song helped me shed Christianity and like popular new wave (grunge) band in the 90's. Recently I have got into Industrial Music more and heard a clip of LG73 on a song by Skinny Puppy on an album released in those times of the group home and home turmoil with my mom. The radio my mom gave me was my contact with the outside world. The radio dial was at least something I had control over in that situation that felt so shaky.

I met the singer of Skinny Puppy just last night on his ohGr TrickS tour. We had a photo op with the VIP and the look of me in the photo was of that young kid! Super happy! I subconsciously played it out like he was my helper Big Brother for this kid. Such a great feeling. There is more to the story and the photo but it is more personal with our conversation and such. I went through many troubled emotions when I was young and just knowing The Puppy matched those moods from the same era makes me feel not as alone. I had a Big Brother, I just didn't know it yet. The band is a family therapist to me. I conjured up allot of good energy dancing through the night last night. Such great connecting times! So the main imagery of the ohGr tour is demented rabbits! So I remembered the easter bunny from the group home after the show. Twistedly cute and awesome!

I glad that you were able to get the opportunity of meeting your spiritual big brother, nice blog to read, yet somewhat sad and heartfelt, the past is the past, and you'll never forget it. You are in control of your future, your destiny, bring peace within yourself and enjoy life to its fullest.

Thanks so much, I always seem to find a way to grapple with the situation in a way that fits.

Friend, enjoy your trip. And the concert together will be good.
