Today we celebrated
@JOORDANZZZ 18th Birthday. Where does the time go. My youngest baby is 18. Crazy.
We celebrated with some Tamales (El Salvadorian food that abuela (gramma) made and some ice cream cake which is my boys's favorite cake.
Jordan always gets a Messi or Barcelona cake, but this year he wanted Whitecaps cake which is Canadian professional soccer team based in Vancouver, British Columbia (MLS) because his next big goal/dream is to play for Whitecaps and his big dream is to play for Barcelona.
We bought him new soccer cleats that he was in need of two weeks ago as his birthday gift. He really loves it. That is all he ever wants; anything to do with soccer. Any money he has saved or gets for birthday he uses for his soccer dream. He would purchase programs/nutrition/training equipment/books, to improve his skills/shape and train by himself outside of his team training.
Like I said before, I don't know anyone, especially Jordan's age that wants and tries his hardest to live his dream for playing professional soccer for Barcelona, but unfortunately, he has been having very hard time last few years with Shingles and then all kinds of injuries with long recoveries etc. But hopefully this hard time is behind him now and his time is here.

I know. My babies are so big now. To tell you the truth, I was taking it really hard for the last few years, looking at my boys growing up and thinking of them leaving the house etc. and I hated it. I think I got used to it now, after worrying for few years and even crying. As long as they are still home, I'm ok, but don't know how it will feel when they are ready to leave.
How are you dealing with your boys growing up?
So far so good, but talk to me when they are out of the nest, I bet I'll be a wreck!
