Ephesians 2 talks about forgiveness which is found in salvation, in our inheritance, for by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourself for it is a gift of God and that not of works lest anyone should boast. Salvation is seen justification, sanctification, and glorification. In our relationship with Jesus, as we follow Jesus, we pray, we ask forgiveness because we care and because we seek after making better choices. It is a process as talked about in Philippians 2:5 as we have the mind of Christ.
