Relevant reflection, @nancybriti. Although I suppose that the evasion of reality is an almost natural impulse of the human being (perhaps that's why psychoanalysis has said that we can't live with so much reality), in our time (and more so in Venezuela) we resort to it almost as a mechanism of psychological prevention. The current world has also created hyperrealities as a way of eluding or neutralizing the concrete, unavoidable reality, as if the saturation of reality produced the opposite effect: its annulment. Interesting point, @josemalavem. Personally, I think that virtual reality can help us experience things that we might never be able to live. Perfect! What it can never do is replace "real" reality. Hugs
