RE: Luck and being born with profitable traits
It sucks when you don’t have the traits that are desirable or traits that help you progress in life/economy/politically .
Luck only plays a role when you’re poor or don’t have a lot . Rich people don’t say it’s because I got lucky . They know they have it all already
There are rich people who are humble, who have humility, who aren't elitist. Then there are rich (and poor) who are elitist. What people are born with doesn't determine their mindset. A person can be born with physical attractiveness, sharp intellect, singing talent, athletic skill, and still say it's luck, or thank the universe for conspiring in their favor, or thank God/Allah etc.
A child can be born royalty and understand the responsibility of that. A child can be born into a billionaire dynastically wealthy old money family and learn to understand they won the genetic lottery to be simply born with that last name into that family. For this reason, I'm not one of the people who thinks any particularly wealthy person or wealthy family is wise or unwise, kind or unkind, if I haven't had the chance to meet and assess them myself.
Elitism is the issue.
