Trip to South India - Part 1
A trip to the southern part of India remains one of the most memorable trips of my life.
PART 1#BANGALORE - This was one of the most beautiful cities that I have seen, it is known as the garden city of India, and you would surely agree to this if you visit this place. The greenery and tall trees make the place even more beautiful and to add icing on the cake the pleasant weather made my trip perfect. I had been planning for a very long time and one fine day my family and I decided to make a trip to some of the most beautiful cities like Bangalore, Ooty, Mysore and Kodaikanal. I had last been to Bangalore 20 years back, not to my surprise the city had changed a lot in these 20 years almost like all other places. Big malls, Monorail, wide roads, new buildings everything had changed, but one thing that did not change was the greenery and evergreen Bangalore climate.
There are several places of attractions in Bangalore apart from the beautiful gardens, but the places that I loved was :
- Vidhana Soudha:
This is one of the most imposing buildings that you will find in Bangalore, it houses the legislative office of the government of Karnataka and it is said to be one of the biggest legislative house in India.
- Bangalore Palace:
Bangalore Palace one of the biggest tourist attraction in Bangalore, and I loved this place the most, it was an awesome building spreading across over 450 acres. The building structure, towers, the interiors, wood carving works, flooring and the eye-catching paintings all over the walls and ceilings was just mind blowing. If you are planning a trip to Bangalore, make sure you visit this beautiful place.
- UB City:
UB is one of the prominent buildings of the city, located near Brigade road junction it is said to be the luxurious mall in India. It has several commercial offices, big brand stores, luxurious five-star hotel and much more. Its wooden carving interiors make it different from other malls in India.
- Shopping Zone:
One of the most beautiful places to shop in Bangalore is Brigade road, where I found everything from all branded stores, pubs, discos and whole lot eatery. It was an awesome experience roaming around at this place.
This was the beginning of my journey to South India with a five-day stay in Bangalore. From there I moved on to Mysore ..........
