True fireworks!

Yesterday was July 4th, also known as 'Independence Day' in the USA. Fireworks are a tradition. Yet in my mind the true fireworks were the night before in the Maryland area. Thunder & lightning put fireworks to shame.

Photo is of the storm rolling in the other night taken from the balcony. The transition from a beautiful bright sunset that was giving way to the dark clouds and flashes of lighting was a spellbinding process to witness. The trees in view swayed as the winds increased and appeared to coax the clouds onward. A dance of light and dark, of life and death.

Why must we attempt to out do nature? Everything we could desire has been provided. ❤️
