Three days fasting.
Fasting can really be beneficial if done right.
What was the plan?
My initial plan was to eat only fruits for all of the days. As I started the fast I got to the point where I needed to eat something so I decided I will include vegetables as well. I ate a lot of tangerines, bananas, apples, ate a carrot, pickles and other. The main point was for me to eat as less as possible in small quantities and sometimes have a bigger meal just so to sustain for longer. Only with fruits and vegetables. I drank a lot of lemon juice and some tea. The whole point was to detox my whole body from the toxins which I suspect I had because of the frequent migraines I had. They may be other things involved in everything, as of my sinus problem, but detoxing can really help. What you primary do is drink a lot of water and eat watery based food. Lemon juice is just another benefit as it can help the detox process in which the main role is to go to the toilet as much as possible and have white urine. It is proven that 72-hour fasting can regenerate your whole immune system. I don't know if that happens with this type of fasting or you need to do a water only one. Yes, there are varies types of fasting. One that involves only water.
What did I feel?
A lot of hunger as expected. Well, I did not expect it to be this difficult. The hunger on the first day was okay. I had just the urge to eat a snack because I saw a person in my room do it. But I did not do it. For most of the days. I had to distract myself from the feel of hunger. This is one of the problems where when you see foods you instantly trigger the placebo effect and your mouth start to water. If you can it is prefered to not be in a room with food because the temptation can get you. Aside from hunger, there weren't any other side effects. I did feel more hunger on the second day and the third day I cut it off slightly and ate earlier than I had to. I had a strong urge. I read that after the third day it will come to an end and you will feel no hunger what so ever, but I just wanted a three day fasting for the start. Will do more in the future. I saw people on the internet who managed to do a full month which is cool. Even when I cut it with some hours, I am proud that I managed to do this long for the first time.
What to eat after fasting?
After a three day detox, you can start with whatever you like, because the organism is not so in danger. Not prefered to start with junk food and you need to not overeat but aside from that, you can go with what you want really. Just start slow and built it up as days go by, just to be sure everything is ok.
How do I feel after it?
Well, I can't say about the long-term effects as I am writing this I just ate my first food aside from fruits and vegetables. I do feel fresher and energized when I thought it will be the opposite. I feel more healthy and it killed some symptoms of illness. What I know is that when you fast your body eats itself. You can kill diseases caused in the gut and then rebuild the whole body when you stop fasting. It can kill the immune system and every aspect of it leaving the body with more food to sustain while you starve. Then after you have finished, it rebuilds itself. It is a clean body, you can start eating healthy from then on. I have heard some people claiming to have cured some types of cancer with long fasting because the body ate itself and the disease as a part of it. It really helps.
Final words?
I strongly am for fasting. I prefer to start slow and not go with 7 days on the go. While I plan on doing it I will have a more clear vision about it. Not eating was harder than I expected. I did, in fact, eat something but it wasn't enough so the hunger was most of the time felt. If I couldn't control what I eat because of the strong urge, what are the odds of me controlling anything else? Like eating is so primal and I felt like not being in control. Maybe it was because of the only 3 days, idk, when I try something longer I will let you all know. For now, I can say that if you feel intoxicated from alcohol or other substances because our everyday life is filled with toxins you can try fasting and detox your body. Start slow and built your way up. The food we eat is filled with garbage and detoxing is a good way for the body to get rid of it. Do some more research because I am no expert, just a newbie. Thank you for reading and have a fantastic day!
