Why do we empathise? What does empathy do?

in #life28 days ago

Empathy means being able to see things from someone else's point of view and put yourself in their shoes. Being aware of both your own feelings and the emotions of others is possible when you have empathy in your relationships.

One of the most important parts of building good relationships is doing this. People often mix up empathy with helpfulness or think of it only as a good thing, but "empathy" is more involved than that...

Now, what does it mean to learn to empathise? Is having too much kindness bad?

Because empathy means being able to understand what someone else believes, wants, feels, and thinks, you can put yourself in their place.

What good is it to be able to see things from someone else's point of view? It's especially important for being able to respond to someone else's feeling in the right way and for telling the difference between yourself and others.

There are five main parts to emotional intelligence, and empathy is one of them. Interestingly, we are able to empathise from the very beginning of our lives because it is something our bodies do.

A baby can tell the difference between his own body and his mother's body even before he is born. In fact, this is the case as an adult. When making friends, we use empathy to figure out where we stand, where we will stand, and where we should stand.

When two people care about each other, they start to bond with each other. We all have this skill that can be developed, and it should even be learned and pushed all the time.

Being alone is the first thing you need to do to build positive empathy. We need to learn to change some of our beliefs, ideals, and biases...

But when it comes to our relationships with other people, we can support them with ideas like love, respect, teamwork, laughter, and active listening.

There is also a lot of work to be done on the side of want, envy, and greed. Often, these ideas lead to competition. Wisdom tells us to keep wanting what we have and being thankful for it instead of wanting what other people have.

We're not going to lie to each other; not everyone is wise.

We can try together, though, because we'll be in better, more understanding groups where no one is angry or jealous.

We become more sensitive with people we love and people we don't know yet, which makes us happy in the end!
