In our Cuba today, where scarcity has taken root, forcing us into a long race with obstacles, and the ideal of the future is presented to us—until now—in increasingly blurred images, many women have found in the internet not only a window to the world, but also a possible and quick opportunity to escape from their problems or their desires.

These are not fairy tales or casual tropical romances, but rather rethought strategies for personal survival. In chats, video calls, and dating apps, like hidden anchors, a significant, emotional and convenient migration is woven, revealing both the emotional and material fragility and the boundless daring of those who undertake it.

Some seek love, others fresh air. Perhaps many, a promise of stability. Others, simply, an calculated haven of greater comfort. Easy ways to escape a reality that, today, only offers them uncertainty and daily wear and tear. In this new context, the foreigner becomes an opportune threshold toward the "unimaginable," in terms of the good life. Something like a symbol of possibility, a key factor in their destiny. It's not their idealized Prince Charming design, but the emblematic passport to "the afterlife."

In the chats, some aren't covered in naiveté. They know that behind every profile there may be a surprise, deception, fetishism, or well-designed manipulation tactics. But others harbor the hope of "hitting the bull's eye," an opportunity that would bring them genuine affection, solidarity, even commitment.

And in that amalgam of dreams, naiveté, lack of stability, vulnerability, and cunning, their truths are constructed in narrative images, thus contributing—involuntarily or not—to the from their concept of "modernity" and from their own experiences—with a perceptible process that, whether we like it or not, tends to renew our traditional ethical and social standards. Although they are often silenced or criticized by social judgment.

This phenomenon is not new.
But today, digitalization accelerates it, multiplies it, universalizes it. And in this, a Cuba is revealed that is not the content of official discourse: a Cuba that loves, that dreams, that resists with dignity...
Also a Cuba that lies in amazement, worried. A country on standby...
Because behind many of these stories, values of a mother, a daughter, a woman, a country is tarnished...

That's why its exponentially growing expression deserves to be understood and addressed, not from a mere prejudice, but from the sense of urgency that demands and calls for bringing back what was lost...!!
