Lilly Pilly is an evergreen ornamental plant. It is native to various regions of Australia, but it is now also cultivated in Bangladesh, India, and other warm countries. It is not only an ornamental plant but also bears fruit, which has various medicinal properties.

This tree is generally of medium height, growing from 3 to 10 meters tall. Its leaves are shiny, green, and oval-shaped, while the new leaves have a light reddish color, making the tree very attractive. The flowers are small, white or pink, and very beautiful.

The fruit is usually round, bright pink to purple in color, resembling a cherry. The taste of the fruit is mildly sour and sweet. It can be eaten fresh and also plays an important role in making jams, jellies, juices, or syrups.
