Family or Work - decision making

in #life8 years ago

Years from now, women stayed at home, took care of their household, took care of their husband and families and lived ...

happily ever after?! - doubt so ...

Truth to be told ... they were bored to death ...

Nothing extraordinary came out of their lifes, they've just kept the "bloodline" alive ...

One day someone said that women and men should be equal ...

 Feminists were born ...

Men become more feminine, whereas women more masculine.

Women started working more "man-like" jobs, now we do have women working as lots and lots power-decision-making-jobs ... and the feelings of usefulness ... this makes women feeling more powerful, more confident ... it looks sexy and nice.

BUT ...

There is always a but ...

  • women now do not want to get married
  • do not want to have children in younger age

They want to become "something" before starting a family

to grow in the social circle and get promoted etc

They want to party as in "Sex in the city" and to feel confident on their own before starting a family ... which is nice for one night stand but is that enough for something more?!

Meanwhile MDs are saying that giving birth after the age of 27 is more dangerous for the baby.

Psychologist are saying that raising a kid in older age is more difficult for the parents.

Even more ... friends and families examples proove all these statements ...

But I do belive that women have to work, to proove themselves in order to feel satisfied and valued.

So now the question arise, it looks like Millennial Generation have to choose ? family over work ? or vice versa

Now thinking out loud, I do not have the right answer, I guess it is person-dependant ...

But dont forget that the main idea of living is making sense of life, so whatever makes greater sense for you ... do it, just dont complain of that ... there is no "golden standard" anymore ...

Keep in mind that teemwork is what makes relationships work ... and it is a damn hard work to do so, but it's worth it  ...

Good luck!
