RE: Thank God It Made It

Honestly if you did not mention that they are baby rabbits I would have thought they were kittens

Perhaps not having newspapers there could be a good thing and finding other substitute can be looked upon.

Hopefully when they are bigger Mercy will allow you to have a closer shot of the kits too.

Congrats for the survived kit. Sorry that one of them did not make it.

Someone that has cat has one mentioned that she thought they were kittens. Probably they have the same ancestry. Before going for d newspapers we're tried other stuff like saw dust, rags, dried grasses & others but old newspapers seem to work best especially in situations where the mom doesn't pull enough fur. Thanks for your support you are appreciated.

I actually would have thought dried grass would have been the standard. I guess the newspapers did well.

When I used dried grass they kept chewing on they and bits keeps falling through the wires some much that they bearly had anything to inside the next box. With the newspapers they don't create such mess as they don't chew it. What affect the kit that wasn't feed was an issue of wondering away from the other kits, this can take a long time & when their mom comes to feed them she just stays where the large group is, a kit trying to get back might take a long time and by the time it finally gets there the mother may have left.
