ETIQUETTE FOR MISTRESSES

in #life8 years ago (edited)

Illicit affair is almost become natural though for some it could never be acceptable. But to those who chose to be one here are some of the rules that they should observe.

1. Know your place! You’re the mistress, not the wife!

You need to know and understand that you don’t have a claim over him. And that he always goes home to his wife.

2. Do not complain, it is the wife’s role.

Whatever lapses and flaws he has, you don’t complain. Moreso, when you found out that he has a second mistress. For all the pain it causes to the wife, the mistress might be suffering in her own way, too but still do not complain, it’s the wife’s role.

3. Do not fall in love and do not believe him.

It is so easy to fall in love with someone you have shared intimate moments with, and despite how much he tells you that he loves you, do not believe nor fall in love. He is still going home to his wife eventually.

4. Wait for him to call you first, not otherwise.

Calling him might ensue a situation of being caught. Better ready for an alias and a back story, just in case someone he knows runs into you both, and immediately excuse yourself to avoid further conversation.

5. Avoid the wife as much as possible. Never patronize the wife’s beauty parlor, jewelry shop, dress shop, or grocery shop. Besides, learning more about the wife makes you feel more inferior.

6. Give up Special Holidays. Being the mistresses isn’t always fun and games. It hurts to be in love with someone whom you can’t spend with important days, special occasions, or holidays. So forget about Valentine’s Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Holy Week and his birthday.

7. Perish all thoughts that someday you’ll be No. 1. Sometimes the irony of an illicit affair is that, the man has a release and outlet and, it keeps a marriage together. He goes home a happier man, husband, and father. The mistress becomes the crutch for his failing marriage.

8. When all else fails, leave him.

Personally, I don’t like mistresses, no matter how they justified the situation and the love for each other. They can end the relation if they wanted to, so excuses are not acceptable. Though both party has to take the blame, not just the mistress.

What do you think about mistresses? Are the existence of their affairs acceptable for you?
