A Life That Counts

life counts.jpglife countssized.jpgLately, I imagine my life of now and the thoughts of how it used to be like come to mind. A few years back, I was this young hopeless person who had no clue about what the future would be. To me, life was far from interesting, rather, it was a bed of ambiguity; not knowing what comes next or what to do next, in fact, I felt like I am a total stranger to my own life. At that moment of my life, there was enormous fear growing in me. It was the fear of the unknown for I was afraid to live a life that will eventually not make any impact.

As time went, I became conscious of the need to make a better living out of life, I realized that I needed to know what it means to live a life of purpose that would be of immense impact to my world. Then I told myself that there was no more sloppy living for me and that I will ensure to make this life count by taking every necessary and timely action. This decision was the beginning of a new era for me; indeed, it was the turning point for my life.

I started to commit myself more to reading. Motivational, inspirational, and educational books became of utmost interest to me. As much as I could, I shunned every act of procrastination and took my attentions off time-wasting activities. I knew what I was up to and by this knowing, I could depict what’s not relevant for my destination. At the time, a clearer picture of life keeps unveiling and I could now visualize things the way it was originally meant to be. For good, I experienced the transformation of a lifetime.

Things changed because I realized that something was not right, identified what the problem was, and then took the necessary steps to make the change. At this juncture of my life, I now can boldly say that my life counts, its simply based on purpose.

I challenge you to live a life that counts always, and if you already are, then keep #LivingALifeThatCounts
