Sailing on Youtube

Lately, I have spent quite a bit of time on youtube as I contemplated buying a sailboat myself. Sailing and YouTubing seems to combine excellently ... with thousands of great videos it was difficult to choose ... anyways, below are the four videos I have selected for you.

Some sailors overcome loneliness by talking to their virtual audience; others wished to be arriving right after leaving (i.e., "I have left Inverness and shall be in Bergen at Tea Time tomorrow"); and some are hardcore sailors who wait for a storm to build up to 10 Beaufort before leaving the marina to sail it downwinds.

What inspires me the most, however, are crews that are obviously at home on their ship and enjoying themselves on the passage.

Let's first look at how the crew of SV Delos are visiting an uninhabited island in the middle of the Indian Ocean (23 minutes).

And then lets jump into one of the episode in the life of Elayna & Riley. This channel was not difficult to find as it has over one million subscribers.

And here is the couple who sails the Northern waters in their yacht Teleport. They are extremely proficient not only in sailing but also in photography.

Last but not least I would like to recommend this full-length, two hour movie as evening entertainment. It covers the entire Northwest Passage from Alaska via Greenland and onto Spain. Spectacular views and amazing crew life.

Enjoy 😃

I enjoyed watching the What would you do, in case of a Pirate Attack at Sea? (Sailing La Vagabonde) Ep. 39 which you shared, it's 13 minutes and well the guy seems to really know the onus of sailing. It's adventurous I understand why you seem to love them.

Hi @mariusfebruary
Wow excellent video for adventurous souls I think that is the top of the everets. comparing it with navigation.

I imagine that you will also make your videos once you are browsing .. So you can share with us your pleasant experiences as a sailboat captain.

So far I have not taken any videos beyond documentation of maintenance work. I might just stick to photography.

How long does it take?
To finish the maintenance?

I'm a "profesional" youtube consumer as not one day goes by without spending at least one hour watching videos. I had the pleasure today to find, as a random recommendation, the video of an American couple presenting Romania. In fact they actually recorded for more than 10 minutes the Danube's area close to where I live and they seemed to like it more than I do 😁.

Have a look if you're interested. Sailing allowed as well 😁 and the scenery is pretty nice.

It seems to me that if you didnt enjoy the adventure and time at sea then sailing really wouldn't be worth doing at all. I understand why you are most inspired by the ones who enjoy it. I would be the same if I were a sailor. Very cool videos. I didn't watch them all in their entirety but the part with the shipwreck on the beach was pretty crazy in the first video and the whales and seals in the second one was very cool as well. Nice post!

Nothing more beautiful in this world than contemplate the immensity and beauty of the sea.
Navigation with good weather gives a lot of peace and connection with oneself.

I wouldn't like to be sailing when the sea is turbulent

Alaska Is a Paradise!. I enjoyed when i see every chapter of "Alaska Mans" on discovery Channel, Is so great and inspiring.
If you buy a Boat, hope you share some pictures with us.
I really like your style of posting, great work! 💟

Greetings Sir Marius!

Since you are enjoying the benefits of YouTube, let me tell you a projection strategy that may work. The idea is to give Steemit some extra promotion.

As you know we can find videos with thousands of views, youtubers who have thousands or millions of subscribers. So, if we use the comments section of these videos we could find a promotional platform which could offer a certain degree of effectiveness. Simply by leaving a link and a short review, we could attract traffic to steemit and perhaps increase the user base.

What do you think about this?

Your friend, Juan.

I think this is a good idea provided the link offers valuable content in the context of the post. Let me think about it some more.

If you are into sailboats, you might like to follow the Brigantes Project. They are renovating an old cargo sailer, and you can even join them, once they set sail.

I just realized that Brigantes have become lazy on their homepage; their focus is on attracting investment right now, and there you can find more of the story:

When I read the title of the publication, I thought you were already sailing in your sailboat and had made a YouTube video, hahaha.

Happy Weekend!
