Martin's Portrait Photography #9 - Deep Thoughts in Glow at Shopping Mall in Malaysia
Absolute darkness with a bright pop of color. This woman was overlooking the busy activity around a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As you may know by now, I love portrait photography as basically everything I remember from my past has to do with a person, a character, often with a face. Portrait photography appeals to me as it conveys much intimacy. It is about emotion and emotion. I love to capture these emotions. To show the diversity in this world. To inspire. To bond.
She is alert and curious, yet mysterious. She approached me first, and we started talking. She spoke about her son, who left for America, which marked her saddest moment in life. She begged him not to go, but it was no use. He was not only her son but also her best friend. He used to tell her everything about his life, but all he could say now was 'don't worry, I have a good job in the US and I will tell you everything when I get back". But it took a long time for her to stop worrying about him. And even today she still does, every single minute. Life can be complicated when your loved ones are far away.
Missing blissful memories,
Cherished thoughts.
Memories in webs,
Tangled knots.
Binding grievances
Pave the way.
Unfettered thoughts
Have their own say.
Moments felt,
Moments understood.
Times are past,
Graveness its hood.
Calm seas rejoice
In silence.
Storms are but
Reasons to penance.
Regret hopes to
Unbind the will.
Will’s infant cry
To escape.
Bewilderment stares
With mouth agape.
Confusions unfold
In graves.
Souls depart
To hellish caves.
Brevity speaks
A thousand words.
Wilderness stands
On a million swords.
Confused and petrified.
Thoughts again
To guide.
A vicious circle
So unholy.
One committed
To every folly.

Beautiful as always what lenses did you take up to shoot this!??????

Beautifully capture the picture
This is really good portrait. I especially like colors... Cold colors are cooperate with warm colors and it makes the photo be really interesting.
Thank you!
