Should We Feel Guilty Over Over Initial Reactions?

In a matter of two days, in the course of running my daily errands, I happened upon two juxtapositions that immediately struck me funny in some weird way. So I took pictures of them.

Here is the first one:

What was your initial reaction?

My initial reaction was to ask the comedy cruel question: Did someone order phone service here?

Two days later, I happened upon this one:

My initial reaction was a laugh.

This picture was taken in early December. My second reaction was it will be dark by 8:00 PM. Is that an important consideration?

A church stands next to this cemetery and I am sure the sign was intended to attract visitors, but I couldn’t help my initial reaction.
