Indonesians should be proud of earlier this week. The reason, one of the ministers in the Working Cabinet of President Joko Widodo received the award as the best minister in the world. It is Sri Mulyani Indrawati, the current Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, who received the award at the World Government Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Best Ministerial Predicate is a global award given to one minister from all countries of the world every year. The selection process in determining the predicate of the Best Minister was conducted by independent institution Ernst & Young and organized by World Government Summit.

The award is an acknowledgment of the collective work of the government under the leadership of President Joko Widodo, particularly in the economic field. Indirectly, the world public also recognizes the performance of Jokowi's government. On the other hand, the appointment of Minister Sri Mulyani became the first of the other ministers in the Asian region for the award.

It proves that President Jokowi in appointing the minister in accordance with the credo of 'the right person for the right position'. The appointment of the minister is considered based on his capabilities and performance in building the nation and state.

It is acknowledged that the success of Sri Mulyani is inseparable from his performance which is continuously monitored and evaluated by President Jokowi. So the results of his work is really measurable precision. That is the form of commitment and professionalism of a President in running the program and development on the nation and state of Indonesia.

Rakyat Indonesia patut berbangga awal minggu ini. Pasalnya, salah seorang menteri di Kabinet Kerja Presiden Joko Widodo mendapatkan penghargaan sebagai menteri terbaik di dunia. Adalah Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Menteri Keuangan Republik Indonesia saat ini, yang menerima penghargaan tersebut dalam World Government Summit di Dubai, Uni Emirat Arab.

Predikat Menteri Terbaik merupakan penghargaan global yang diberikan kepada satu orang menteri dari seluruh negara di dunia setiap tahunnya. Adapun proses seleksi dalam menentukan predikat Menteri Terbaik itu dilakukan oleh lembaga independen Ernst & Young dan diselenggarakan oleh World Government Summit.

Adanya penghargaan tersebut merupakan pengakuan atas kerja kolektif pemerintah di bawah pimpinan Presiden Joko Widodo, khususnya di bidang ekonomi. Secara tak langsung, publik dunia juga mengakui kinerja pemerintahan Jokowi. Di sisi lain, ditunjuknya Menteri Sri Mulyani itu menjadi yang pertama dari menteri-menteri lain di kawasan Asia untuk penghargaan tersebut.

Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa Presiden Jokowi dalam menunjuk menteri sesuai dengan kredo 'orang yang tepat untuk posisi yang tepat pula'. Penunjukkan menteri itu dipertimbangkan berdasarkan kapabilitas dan kinerjanya dalam membangun bangsa dan negara.

Diakui bahwa kesuksesan Sri Mulyani itu tak terlepas dari kinerjanya yang terus dimonitoring dan dievaluasi oleh Presiden Jokowi. Sehingga hasil kerjanya benar-benar terukur secara presisi. Itulah bentuk komitmen dan profesionalitas seorang Presiden dalam menjalankan program dan pembangunan pada bangsa dan negara Indonesia.
