How can spirituality improve mental health?

I talk a lot about mental health, both medically and scientifically, but spirituality helps me stay balanced.

Rationality and esotericism can coexist! Younger generations consume astrology as much as scientific reports for good reason. Spirituality isn't just about elaborate ceremonies and ancestral symbols!

If we feel more linked to our environment, it can be reflections and gestures anchored in nature and daily life. Lap.

Religion and spirituality are currently distinct. Today, we view religion as a syncretism, collecting pieces from practically everywhere that resonate with us.

Yes, we believe in a deity, but we don't name it. Like DIY faith, for millennials!

Spirituality is believing in something bigger than yourself and being in harmony with oneself, others, and nature.

Astrology, karma, tarot, visualisation, energy, crystals, etc. all involve spirituality.

One need only go back to 2006 to remember the frenzy around The Secret. We all know someone has it in their library! It's almost boomers' Harry Potter! My mother owned my home. Have “a magic book” under my roof seemed esoteric when I was 14.

Over 15 years later, I found spirituality fascinating and interesting.

Many “hardened rationalists” chuckle at these absurd ideas. Remember that every being is spiritual, even if they don't realise it.

Unfortunately, spiritual awakenings generally occur after frustrating, terrible, or perplexing events like a tragic death, serious sickness, or social disaster.

However, cultivating spirituality before tragedy can reduce mental illness issues.

Spirituality provides peace and removes uncertainty. Life makes you dizzy, no doubt! Eventually, tranquilly replaces worry.

I finally understand why spirituality affects my anxiety daily. The fear of losing control is widespread among anxious persons.

You don't need to follow monotheistic religions or your New Age aunt's beliefs.

But practically, how can you be spiritual today?
There are various methods to practise spirituality daily. Just take the time to find a spirituality and beliefs that work for you. Are crystals beautiful and connect you to nature? Go! Are you curious about astrology and how the moon affects your mood? Look into it!

Know that your faith might be even simpler. It can be done anywhere without equipment. Furthermore, 10 minutes can transform a day.

The what? Anchoring yourself in the present. It means valuing your 5 senses by releasing anxieties and unpleasant feelings. We step back and don't judge our emotions. There are other apps to learn the concept, including Headspace.

That brings what? Self-esteem, kindness, resilience, presence, tranquilly.

The what? Breathing mindfully is key.

The reason for intentional breathing is to alleviate stress before an oral presentation or during labour to control pain. I've begun doing it recently and feel amazing after each practice. Several breathing techniques relax the nervous system.

That brings what? Authenticity, empathy, inventiveness, self-reconnection, lightness.
