HUNGARIAN TRIP - EGER

Eger is a town in Hungary between Mátra and Bukk Mountains. It lies in the north of the country.

Our first holiday together :) ... we came to this beautiful city by accident. At first glance, this city was fascinated and interested. The city has a monumental neoclassical basilica, the second largest in Hungary. It is the pearl of the whole city and the country we have not been able to envy. Nearby is also the beautiful Minorite church. These two sights can be reached through the picturesque streets of the city or directly across the city. The city has plenty of cafes and restaurants. There were a lot of young people in the center who also made a program for tourists. Huge bubbles, painters and artists. We also drew a cartoon to remember this trip :)

Minaret tower is on the edge of the center. This 40-meter tower built in the 17th Century was a very interesting exit, because there is a very narrow space in this tower, and I really had a problem getting into it. A lot of stairs are steep and narrow. From where there is a magnificent view of the whole city, the castle and all the sights of the city are on your palm.

Through the city streets you can also get to various wine cellars and one of the largest is located directly under the basilica with a accompanying program. We've been lying in this beer for over an hour, and we have not missed it because it's huge. They stored wine from nearby surroundings, as we can call this a city of wine.

Near the town there is a thermal spa and a wellness area where the healing spring is located. The prices at the swimming pool are super low, the food was delicious and the beers tasted great.

The food I've ever found is traditional Hungarian baguette with cheese. I did not know how to get through this goodness. Its size rather resembles a baguette, but it's a clean dough and baked cheese on the top. I always went to the store to buy this hot pastry, and I'm wondering how I could come with them at the cash desk to not eat them. I recommend tasting Hungarian alcohol as well as the Futulus, The Next and the wine that comes directly with the Egger vineyards Egri bikavér.

People in the city were incredibly friendly and nice. Nightlife was excellent and there were lots of people in the city who drank in the parks and the city.
In the city, we took a week off, enjoying the spa, monuments and life of Eger.
Near the town of Eger there are also salt lakes that we did not get, but according to the photos there is definitely going to go and look around.

On our first vacation, we felt like we were all, and we can not evaluate this city altogether as excellent.
