Ham radio is a hobby .

This is a very challenging hobby. All its spirit is about challenging.
Find yourself something next to impossible (as you can see it), set yourself a goal there, and then do your best to achieve it, and to exceed it.

Ham radio is unimaginable without a morse code. And very few regular people know what is that. Even less can read this code simply by listening to it.

What is morse code.

Morse code is like a protocol, or algorithm of communications.
A method of transmitting text information as a series of on-off tones, lights, or clicks that can be directly understood by a (skilled) listener or observer without any special, additional equipment.
It is a very genius invention, a method of reliable communication through a harsh , unstable , variable conditions of radio wave propagation.

During the years is has proved itself practically as being as one of most reliable and interference-resistant way of long distance communication by radio waves. For decades it has remained a been superior way to do this, more then any other technical device could do.

However, with digital electronics and satellite capabilities progressing at an unimaginable pace during the last 3-4 decades, morse code has practically lost completely it's importance. Especially in commercial, marine and military long haul communications.
Yet it is still widely used by ham radio hobbyists.
This morning i came across an interesting site, all dedicate to a morse code

There is so much more to it, you can google yourself, or just enjoy reading about it in wiki

Also I found a funny video, with informative comments and visualisations here:

Another fun to watch video has been published by geniuos drummer Andrea Vadrucci

Enjoy !

for me radio or other tech instruments are like "oh god! now what to do with these equipments."please make more posts on photography. I'm learning new skills from you. and can you please write something on photography ,cameras etc it could be helpfull for beginners like me .I'm a big fan of your photography.@onealfa

Thanks for good words, @pkvlogs. I can't promise anything, but I will try. I am just an amateur camera lover, not even close to professionals. Even I got my very first photo camera about 53 years ago.

Ham radio is a hobby an addiction!

Since my dad got his licence 2 years ago, he has spent $1000's on radio equipment, towers and other stuff related. He wakes up and * click * turns the radios and computers on!
It's been harder to communicate with him than ever.
I'm sure if I used Ham radio I would get a reply quicker!!!

Great info. As a slightly younger person we never had the need to learn about Morse code, we were too busy learning about email.

It's difficult one i will try it

Interesting

Morse code is widely used in the army

Nice post gave you an upvote

In movies they make it look so easy although it seems quite tough. I liked the video .

aahhh its looks interesting

It s so hard man
