Social Credit Score Part II
As a follow up to a post on China's new social credit score project, they are using a facial recognition tool that can compare up to 3 billion faces per second. This will be used to read people's emotions through their facial expressions.
They are encouraging private companies to expand the limits which 'SkyNet' can probe into the thoughts of people. They are applying SkyNet to monitor the brains of workers. By monitoring for abnormalities in emotions and thought patterns, they expect to identify when a worker is angry or suffering from a bout of depression or anxiety. When such a condition is identified, management will request that the worker take the day off. Surely this will become more than a request as time goes on.
According to Jin Jia, an associate professor of brain science and cognitive psychology "a highly emotional employee in a key post could affect an entire production line, jeopardizing his or her own safety as well as that of others".
As reported in the South China Morning Post, managers at several firms claimed the technology has saved them hundreds of million, if not billions, of yuan by helping workers avoid mistakes. Note how news of this infringement on worker's rights is spun to look like they are 'helping' workers and looking out for their welfare.
Try as you might not to be critical of the government's ultimate intentions, history shows that politicians (government) always spin their nefarious actions into how they are doing it for the welfare of their constituents.

Coming to a State Near You!
China is messed up and has totally no moral boundaries.
And now they are using "mind reading hats" in some factories.
They dont really read mind, but detect mood swings, like anger and if you are under emotions that could affect your work performance you are moved to a position with less responsibility.
Its really Orwellian and just too much.
Whats next?
What's next is too scary to think about.
